So I'm sitting in the middle of Coffee Depot trying to do homework (It's a great coffee shop - if you're ever in RI I highly recommend giving it a visit) when all of a sudden a variant of the Top Gear theme starts playing. Now, maybe it's the original version, but I don't care. It still will forever remind me of Top Gear. And that makes me giggle.

Okay, must get a refill and then back to RL writing.

update: And the song right after the Top Gear theme is 'Paperback Writer'. Highly appropriate. :)

That song crops up in my life every so often, and it always makes me smile.

Paperback Writer? It makes me smile too. I listened to it end over end as I was driving up to my residency. :) It's funny, I didn't really like it when I first loaded it onto my iPod - those few opening notes just grated on my nerves! But then I got past it (which may have in part been inspired by an interview with John Simm, he mentioned the song in there *whistles innocently) and actually listened. It's so great. :) Okay, no more stalling, back to bloody literary annotations...

Was it the original, "Jessica" by the Allman Brothers? It's a pretty awesome song...pretty appropriate for a show as awesome as Top Gear.

I'm not sure if it was the original - to be honest I don't know the original at all, although it sounded like it could have been the Allman Brothers, same sort of guitar sound there. It was instrumental, and it was quite awesome. You're right, quite appropriate for Top Gear. :)

Love the icon, btw!

Anything Top Gear is win. And actually, I was just in Providence this weekend--an Indian restaurant on Thayer Street called...[something] and Kabob? Can't quite remember the name, but it was very tasty.

I actually got into Top Gear because of my boyfriend - he'd always watch the clips online, and I suspect he idolizes Jeremy Clarkson somewhat...but then I got to rub it in his face when my TV got BBC America (and actual episodes of Top Gear) and he didn't. *G* But then the Top Gear passion struck and here we are today. ;)

Did you enjoy Providence? That's only about 20 minutes away from where I live (this is RI though - you can be anywhere in the state within an hour). I'm not familiar with the Indian restaurants around Thayer though - there's one right down the block from me where I usually go and adore, however I am always looking for new recommendations. If there's the word Kabob in the name though it can't be too hard to find - it's a damn distinctive word, that's for sure!

As for the next chapter I know you asked about - still working. Bloody school annotations due tomorrow, argh!

I watched an ep of Top Gear because DT was the guest, and then I was hooked. I always miss it when it's on, though, so I haven't seen nearly as much as I should.

Providence was fun, if a little confusing. Lots of one-way streets up steep hills, in the dark...Still, once your Garmin figures out where you are, good times. ;) Maybe I just get lost easily--I've only really started figuring out Boston in the last year, and I've lived 20 minutes outside it my whole life. *facepalm*

Don't worry about the chapter--believe me, I understand about school making you crazy.
