WtF Law and Order?

aenariasbookshelfAm sitting in my hotel room (long, but good story - will explain later as I have to check out in an hour) watching a newer episode of Law and Order (don't recognize any of the cops and McCoy's been promoted higher up) and noticed that the main judge in this episode is called...Malcolm Reynolds???? Shout out much, anyone? The guy's totally not Captain Tightpants, though. :(
