Why? According to everyone else, it's because I'm evil. *g* But really, the next bit I really do think needs its own chapter, or at least needs to be the major feature in the chapter. This bit's big feature was all of the running around and cutting back and forth between viewpoints and jumping about, so to go from that to one solid scene of just conversation would be a bit much. This way, all your focus is on them, which is just where it should be. Yes, the rest of the peanut gallery will pop in there towards the end of the chapter, but it won't be too terribly distracting by that point. So there is method to my madness, I promise. :)
