Oh my god, the bribe might actually work?! Yay for corruption! I took some pictures of the food at the party we threw, and while I certainly didn't get a pic of everything...it's a good place to start. Go here to see what looks good. If you're looking for something more savory, I've got a great recipe for German apple pancake--it's an almost custard-like cake with apples cooked in cinnamon and sugar. Great for a homey winter dinner. Um, there's curried fruit bake, my grandmother's wild rice... I've also got a phenomenal moussaka recipe. If that doesn't appeal, give me a genre and I'll brainstorm. I will do anything in my power to bring Rose and the Doctor back together faster. *salutes*

Now, back to the actual story...I get that Rose is trying to not cause trouble for Lou. It makes good, logical sense, and stays true to Rose's sense of compassion. It's also very frustrating for us addicts readers. ;) I'm all for getting everyone into positions, though--you have a knack for building the suspense, and you don't skimp on the emotional payoff. It's too bad that Rose and Donna never met, but I like this AU quite a bit. Just promise me that it'll stay AU and Donna won't be erased because of a metacrisis.

Brazil? Your uncle's cousin? *snorts* That's...an interesting proposition, to be sure, but...um...no comment. I am so sorry about your car. If it makes you feel any better, mine seems to develop new problems every time I drive it. Most recently, it has started thumping when I step on the brakes--it still slows and stops okay, but it's weird.

My Christmas was wonderfully soothing. We hired someone to help serve at the party this year, and it made a huge difference. I actually had time to talk to people! And my brother and his wife were here as well, which we weren't expecting (they live in NY, and her family is there. Ergo, they usually are too). Except for my other brother unexpectedly ditching several hours of party-prep time, everything went very smoothly.

One last note--if you're going to have another cliffhanger, you should probably hole up in a fortress with a couple hundred bodyguards. ;)
