A tad melodramatic, but fitting right now. Alas, poor computer, I knew you well...in short, my laptop totally died over the weekend. All it's good for now is a heavy-duty paperweight or door stop. I suspect the hard drive crashed, and while there's a friend of my mom's who works with computers and knows someone who may be able to resurrect three years worth of fic from my hard drive (*sobs for lost fics*), I'll be missing for a while (at least until after Christmas) until I can get a new computer.

If anyone out there knows dark_aegis please apologize to her for me for the delay in her promised ficlet. The first few pages were lost in the crash, so it's going to take even more time to get it out to her.

So until then, fare thee well, have a fantastic holiday - whichever one you celebrate - and I'll see everyone after Christmas (or at least on Saturday when I arrive at my parents' place and can avail myself of their desktop - not going near my sister's Mac...).
